Я посетил Анатолия Шора с членом еврейской общины города Бершадь. Анатолий живет в трехкомнатной квартире в двухэтажном жилом доме. Он рассказал нам, что это здание было построено на месте домика, который принадлежал семье его жены. Квартира Анатолия заполнена старыми книгами, покрытыми слоем пыли. Всюду признаки запущенности. Анатолий, кажется, чувствует себя довольно комфортно, пробираясь сквозь этот беспорядок. Он очень нервный человек. Он был контужен во время войны, и это повлияло на состояние его здоровья: он путается в датах, событиях, именах людей, а иногда с трудом подбирает правильное слово. Он вскакивает и бегает по комнате, показывая какие-то документы, и я терпеливо жду, пока он соберется с мыслями.
