Tamara Koblik e o doamnă înaltă şi suplă cu un păr des şi scurt, cu trăsături regulate ale feţei. Mişcările ei sunt agere şi are o voce ascuţită. Ea are o memorie remarcabilă iar istoriile povestite de ea sunt pline de detalii interesante. Deşi a fost operată de cancer recent, ea arată foarte bine. Abea mai târziu se putea observa că starea ei de sănătate rămâne în urma energiei spirituale cu care natura a dotat atât de generos această frumoasă femeie. Tamara a oboist şi a devenit palidă. Ea tuşea dar nu vroia să oprească din a povesti istoria sa. Cât despre mine, aveam senzaţia că doresc s-o ascult o veşnicie. Tamara, împreună cu soţul ei locuiesc într-un apartament cu trei odăi dintr-un bloc cu 5 etaje situat într-un cartier pitoresc al Chişinăului, pe malul unui lac artificial care este un loc preferat de agrement pentru orăşeni. Soţul Tamarei – Monea, o persoană inteligentă şi gentilă, o gazdă ospitalieră îi este devotat soţiei sale cu trup şi suflet. Şi el a suferit o intervenţie chirurgicală dar nici unul din ei nu lasă impresia că ar fi bolnavi. Apartamentul lor confortabil este mobilat cu stil, şi acest lucru cu siguranţă se datorează Tamarei: mobilă drăguţă în living, multe cărţi în dulapuri, un set de veselă frumoasă din China şi un covor în nuanţe pale pe podea. Atenţia oaspetelui este atrasă de o menorah de argint din dulapul din cameră. Tamara e o persoană ospitalieră şi creativă: ea ne-a servit cu un sortiment de dulceţuri pe care le-a pregătit singură. Cea mai gustoasă dintre ele a fost dulceaţa de cireşe albe cu felii de lămâie.
