From November 8-11, 2018 our 9th international Trans.History seminar on „Civil Society, digital storytelling and 20th Century Jewish History“ took place in Bonn, Germany. In close collaboration with our on-site partner Marie-Kahle-Gesamtschule and in partnership ICTPD and NGO „Mnemonics“ we brought together 25 educators from Moldova, Ukraine and Germany. In the wake of the November 9 memorial day participants discussed and shared best practice examples and project ideas on commemorative culture, Jewish history and active citizenship and attended several public commemoration events for the November pogrom 1938. Furthermore, we introduced our Moldovan-Ukrainian-German group to Centropa‘s most comprehensive exhibition on Jewish history of the 20th century – „The Library of Rescued Memories“ – depicting Jewish family stories from 15 countries in Eastern and Central Europe.
