Riscova Seminar – October 2019

From October 24-27, 2019 our 12th international Trans.History seminar on “Trans.History: Promoting civil society and Jewish history in the Visegrad countries, Moldova, Ukraine” took place in Riscova, Moldova.

In close collaboration with our partner NGO EcoVisio and with the support of the German Federal Foreign Ministry and the Visegrad Fund, we brought together 50 educators and NGO activists from Moldova, Ukraine, Germany and the Visegrad countries (Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic) for a training seminar with interactive workshops, historical lectures, film screenings, and to discuss and share best practices on commemorating Jewish history and culture, and promoting active citizenship in educational contexts.

Odessa Seminar – April 2019

Our 11th international Trans.History seminar took place in Odessa, Ukraine from April, 12-14, 2019. Together with our partners NGO „LOGOS“, NGO „Mnemonics“, the Ukrainian Center for Holcaust Studies (UCHS) and International Center for Training and Professional Development (ICTPD) we brought together 50 participants from Ukraine, Moldova and Germany to discuss and share best practices on commemorating 20th century Jewish history and culture and promoting active citizenship in educational contexts.
